1. Vionic with Orthaheel Tide II Women's Sandal

Vionic Women's Tide II Toe Post Sandals

The Vionic Orthaheel Tide II comes with an Orthaheel Technology, which has been biomechanically designed to support your arches and heels by preventing the ligaments around the heel from straining.

The Orthaheel Technology aligns your feet, which have been proven to alleviate pains from the heels drastically.

Vionic Tide II comes with a mid-density EVA midsole, which reduces stress on your ankle and knees, and has proven to be one of the most effective shock absorbers around.

Orthaheel Tide II features a tread patterned TPR outsole, which improves traction and enhances durability.

See, how awesome are these sandals:

Additionally, it comes with a simple woven upper strap and a toe post to ensure your sandals stay put to the feet. Both the strap and toe post are foam cushioned.

Interestingly, this sandal simply re-aligns your feet for better distribution irrespective of your weight.

Is Vionic Tide II the best flipflops I’ve ever worn? Oh yeah! One of the very best, planning to order different more colors. Vionic is one of the best flip flop brands.

Caution: For greater comforts, I recommend wearing your new Vionic footwear a few hours for the first few days in order for your feet to adjust to the new level of orthotic comfort and support.

2. OOFOS Unisex OOriginal Thong Flip-Flop

OOFOS Unisex OOriginal Thong Flip-Flop

The OOFOS Unisex OOriginal Thong Flip-Flop comes with the oofoam technology and a patented footbed design, which has distinct shock absorbing properties for your comfort. It is one of the best flip flops for women.

The biomechanically designed oofoam aids shock absorption, cradles your arches and enables free natural movements on all surfaces. This oofoam-inspired flip-flop was specifically designed for the comfort of your feet.

The proprietary OOFOS midsole foams absorb 37% more shock and impact than every other midsole material, which makes them so soft and comfortable.

The synthetic sole it possesses gives it more traction and durability.

The heel of the OOFOS measures approximately 1 inches, which keeps your feet a bit far from the ground.

Unusually, unlike other flip-flops the OOFOS propels you backward and cradles the arch, which provides you extra comfort.

Another feature I love about this this flip-flop is the closed cell waterproof system, which has zero tolerance for the aggregation of bacteria in the footbed.

Pros

  • Great durability.
  • Could be washed comfortably due to its water resistant nature.

Cons

  • Slippery when wet.

3. Sanuk Women's Yoga Mat Flip-Flop

Sanuk Women's Yoga Mat Flip-Flop

The Sanuk women's flip-flop features a thick footbed made of yoga mat material, which has a classic design.

These flip-flops are the most comfortable you can find anywhere.

An important feature the Yoga Mat possesses the classic looking synthetic leather strap. Unlike other flop sandals I had tried in the past, the Sanuk yoga mat never gave me blisters.

The Sanuk Yoga Mat comes with a textile printed satin lining and web-toe strap, which prevents chaffing.

The flip-flop also features a padded synthetic top-sole for added protection. I felt pretty amazing walking for long periods without feeling uncomfortable.

Despite having a soft cushion yet it still offers good support and will keep your feet comfortable.

The thick footbed of the flip-flop absorbs water expediently. I never felt comfortable wearing it on wet grounds. It absorbed so much water in a short period of time and took rather too long to dry off.

The Traction offered by Yoga Mat is fairly average. This flip-flop has a thin rubber sole but lacks space for grippy and thick treads.

Pros

  • Classic appearance.
  • Comfortable for walkabouts.
  • There's no break in time.
  • Fit true to size.

Cons

  • Poor traction due to its porosity.
  • Slippery when wet.

4. Olukai Ohana Sandal

OluKai Ohana Sandal - Women's

The Ohana Sandals are made of natural materials, which makes them vegan-friendly. This flop is inspired by the barefoot feeling in wet sand.

The sandal is built with contoured footbed to deliver long-lasting support and comfort.

The Olukai Ohana Sandals feature an anatomical arch designed in such a way that it supports the natural contours of the foot.

This flip-flop offers medial and lateral arch support, which reduces pains and promotes natural shock absorption.

The sandal consists of a wide toe box, which allows your toe to spread naturally, as you're walking on wet sand with barefoot. The wide toe box enhances greater balance and reduces stress.

The heel of this flop is designed in a way that it cradles the foot, minimizes the movements of the foot, provides stability and absorbs shock. The heel cup aligns and centralizes the foot to minimize supination, takes pressure off the arch, protects the bone, and enhances the body's natural cushioning.

The Faux leather makes this flop look nicer than the everyday beach flop.

The Olukai Ohana Sandal has been one of my favorite flops till date. This flop revived my heels, which I lost due to plantar fasciitis. It is easily one of the best sandals for plantar fasciitis.

Pros

  • Good arch support
  • Wide toe box which gives additional stability
  • This flop is orthotic

Cons

  • It could hurt if you wear it for longer periods in the first few days.

5. Teva Women's Mush II Flip-Flop

Teva Women's Mush II Flip-Flop

The Teva Women’s Mush II Flip-Flop delivers supreme comfort as it is designed for due to the soft Mush top sole with arch support. This makes it one of the best flip flops for walking.

It is great for a walk on the beach, or a walk down the park, it is an all-round package for the summer. Teva provides ample support to your feet despite its light weight sole and footbed, and it also offers great stability.

Also, the synthetic strap with three-point construction gives your feet easy fit and makes the flip-flop durable. With durable Mush traction pattern in the EVA outsole, you can walk pain-free and stable in wet or dry surfaces. It is one of the best flip-flops for plantar fasciitis.

Pros

  • Offers good support
  • Inexpensive

Cons

  • Offers little stability and traction
  • Slippery when wet

Conclusion

The listed flip-flops are highly recommended with each of them offering comfort and protection. But I will stress that while they offer a certain degree of protection. They should not be worn for very long walks or used for high impact activities as they have less shock absorption and arch support. In addition, you should replace any worn out flip-flop and your feet should be treated right with proper conservative methods.
