Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table Review

Ironman Gravity 4000 Overview

The design of the Ironman Gravity 4000 inversion tables is such that it withstands a strain of 350 pounds on its frame. This is due to the extra wide tubular steel frame that is powder-coated for durability. Considering the reviews, this is one of the bestselling inversion tables in the market. But if you like having choices, the Innova ITX9600 Inversion Table comes with similar features.

The Ironman 4000 has the highest base to height ratio for stability. As its U-shaped frame has rubber stabilizers that prevent skidding while offering traction. This anchor the equipment in place while you shift your center of gravity through 180°. The frame weighs 75 pounds for added stability that lower the center of gravity. The vinyl covered bed and moving parts prevent pinching your fingers. You can invert and upright yourself using your hands for traction. Just grab hold of the long foam-covered safety handles.

You can increase or decrease the inversion range using the 3 positions on the pivot arms on the Gravity Inversion System. Begin with the least inversion then work towards complete inversion. You can control the rate of inversion using the tether that limits the inversion even while clipped into the ankle harnesses. The tether connected to the inversion table cum backrest has an adjustable strap with carabiners. This means you can adjust the length of the straps to taut while tilting the table. These straps prevent the table from tilting further than their length.

What I Liked

Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table

The Ironman Gravity 4000 is designed on the theory of decompression of the spine. It states that hanging upside down or at an angle where your head is lower than your feet relieves pressure on the spine. This method of decompression uses gravity to ease this pain and pressure. But consult your doctor if you suffer from heart disease, glaucoma, hypertension, etc.

This equipment causes spinal traction the stretching, reduces the pressure on the discs. The removable Lumbar pillow offers extra lower back support. It also offers joint pressure relief after high impact workouts. And corrects some minor misalignment due to one-sided activities like tennis or golf.

Hanging upside down clears the lymphatic system of the lactic acid and other toxins that cause pain. The theory propounds that inversion decongests the organs due to an improved blood circulation. Inversion also helps maintain height as a person shrinks by 3/4th of an inch from when they wake up. This is spinal compression due to gravity. Inversion reverses this effect of gravity by stretching the spine.

What I Didn’t Like

The Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion table has no method for setting and locking angles. This means inverted exercises like ab core training or sit ups are not possible until you are completely inverted.
The nylon straps, the clips and the safety hooks at both the ends are flimsy; so, do not invert violently. An instructional DVD on how to assemble and use the equipment would have been a definite deal clincher.

With so many health benefits and features at a reasonable price, the Ironman Gravity 4000 is a must have in your home gym. After a while of use, you will enjoy the de-stressed and refreshed feeling the inversions brings to your system. Thereby inducing a feeling of health and well-being in your life.
